TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is now facing charges after a deadly shooting this week at a busy Tempe shopping center.
Police announced Wednesday that it is recommending felonies against Fernando Gallegos, 20, including first-degree murder and armed robbery with a deadly weapon. He was arrested on Tuesday and is being held on a $1.2 million cash-only bond.
Tempe police said on Dec. 1, 19-year-old Dominic Baysinger was meeting with a suspect for an online sale at Tempe Marketplace when he was shot and killed in the parking lot. The suspect fled the scene after the shooting , police say.
Gallegos made his first court appearance late Tuesday night, accompanied by a lawyer. State prosecutor Ashley Stetson said that messages suggested that Gallegos went to Tempe Marketplace, planning on
