BRANSON, Mo. (KY3) - The city of Branson celebrated a historic moment Tuesday with the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Branson Police Department headquarters.

The former White House Theater was transformed into a police facility, providing more than 42,000 square feet of space to serve the growing community. The redesigned space features state-of-the-art areas for patrol operations, investigations, and evidence processing.

Police Chief Eric Schmitt said the new facilities will strengthen the department’s capabilities.

“They’re gonna be able to follow up on our investigations like they have never been able to do,” Chief Schmitt said. “Again, the first-ever crime lab in Branson, and we’re not thinking small. We wanna go after rapid DNA and grants to help us be able to solve local-leve
