CrossCountry customers that were planning to travel on Saturday can breathe a sigh of relief following the suspension of planned industrial action by the RMT union.
Normal services will now run on Saturday, December 6, and on the subsequent Saturdays in December.
Saturday December 6 is expected to be a busy day for many town and city centres across the CrossCountry network, including Birmingham New Street.

There are planned engineering works and Christmas events, meaning busier trains than usual.
In particular, this Saturday will see CrossCountry services between Derby and the North East and Scotland extended by up to an hour due to engineering work in the Chesterfield area.
