The White House marked the start of the holiday season on December 1 with Melania Trump revealing this year’s Christmas decorations. It is the family’s first Christmas back in the White House since 2020, and the theme chosen this year is “Home is where the heart is."
Dozens of volunteers helped put the display together, filling the building with classic decorations and detailed setups that stretch across the State Floor.
The White House shared the scale of the work: 75 wreaths, 51 Christmas trees, more than 700 feet of garland, 2,000 strands of lights, 25,000 feet of ribbon, 2,800 gold stars, 10,000 butterflies, and about 120 pounds of gingerbread.
