Dangerous driver jailed after 'dozing off' - everything we know

A driver named Dominic Johnson, 47, was jailed for causing a serious injury by dangerous driving after a crash on June 29, 2023. Johnson crashed his Vauxhall Movano van into another vehicle, severely injuring the occupant.

The crash occurred on the A141 in the early hours of the morning after Johnson is believed to have dozed off at the wheel. His van drifted into the opposite carriageway and collided with a Suzuki Vitara before ending up in a field 100 feet away.

The 56-year-old driver of the Suzuki, a man from Lincolnshire, suffered life-changing head injuries as a result of the collision. He reported to the court that the crash led to him losing his job and struggling with anxiety and PTSD, requiring surgery.
