MIDDLETOWN, CT (WFSB) – Bitter cold temperatures are in the forecast for Thursday night into Friday.

In addition to bundling up, vehicle owners may want to think about how to prepare their cars.

Victor Auto Body Works in Middletown provided some tips.

Thursday, it said its busy season started to ramp up.

“We do get much busier in the wintertime,” said Tyler Rook, owner, Victor Auto Body Works.

Rook said he’s been in the business for decades. He knows winter is when customers have the most issues with their vehicles.

“Most common call would be dead battery,” he said.

That’s something Rook said can usually be prevented with some routine maintenance, like a lot of other things during the winter.
