Winter is upon us. The temperature is barely above freezing, with sleet beating against the window.

My next piece will be after the festive season has passed so I’ll take this early opportunity to extend heartfelt gratitude to all those people that are working hard, long hours out in the fields and sheds, growing and raising the food ready for special family meals.

The stoic efforts of all of those in the farming community always impress us on the Rural and Wildlife Team.
