TOLEDO, Ohio — Ahead of bitterly cold temperatures and wind chills below zero, the city of Toledo has announced emergency warming centers for people seeking shelter overnight.
In a bulletin on its website, the city said the following warming centers would be available overnight Thursday, Dec. 4 into Friday:
St. Paul's Methodist Church
1201 Madison Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43604
Opens 8 p.m. - 8 a.m.; individuals and couples
Leading Families Home
915 N. Erie St., Toledo, Ohio 43604
Opens 8 p.m. - 8 a.m.; families only
Warming centers are separate from shelter waitlists and do not provide beds, the city said. If you need transportation to a warming shelter, call 211.
The city said those seeking longer-term shelter or housing assistance should also call 211 to be connected to resources.
