Fourth Squad Detectives report the arrest of an Island Park man for Aggravated Harassment that occurred on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 6:00 pm in Island Park. According to detectives, the male victim, 18, was delivering food to an Island Park residence. After making the delivery, the male realized it was time to pray. He removed a prayer mat from his vehicle, placed it on the ground and knelt on it. As the victim prayed, a neighboring resident began to yell at the victim and directed derogatory terms towards him. The victim explained he was praying and the subject made a violent threat. Police were notified and after a thorough investigation, Thomas McGarry, 67, was arrested.
