More than twenty team members from MACY*S Long Island–New York Metro division visited Ronald McDonald House New York Metro in New Hyde Park on December 2 to transform it into a festive holiday retreat for families staying close to their hospitalized children receiving care at nearby Cohen Children’s Medical Center at Northwell.

Arriving with oversized bags and boxes of decorations, the MACY*S team spent the morning carefully adorning the House’s larger-than-life holiday tree and surrounding space. By early afternoon, the room had been reimagined as a full winter wonderland—complete with garlands, holly, a menorah, sparkling ornaments, wrapped presents, oversized ribbons, stockings and Santa figurines that left families in awe.
