Rebecca Joynes was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison in 2024 after being found guilty of six sexual offences against two boys.
The offences related to two teens she met through her job as a teacher at a Greater Manchester school. She struck up a sexual relationship with one of her pupils (Boy A), and while she was suspended from her school, she embarked on another relationship with a second student (Boy B)and became pregnant with his child.
This week the spotlight shone once again on Joynes as a teaching profession conduct panel considering her case. Joynes, who is still behind bars, was invited to attend
