Multiple school systems across West Virginia will operate on delayed schedules Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, as a winter weather advisory calls for accumulating snow across the southern and eastern regions of the state.

The following counties have announced delays so far:

Fayette County Schools: 2-hour delay

Greenbrier County Schools: 3-hour delay

Hardy County Schools: 2-hour delay

McDowell County Schools: 3-hour delay

Mercer County Schools: 2-hour delay due to inclement weather

Pendleton County Schools: 3-hour delay

Pocahontas County Schools: 3-hour delay

Summers County Schools: 3-hour delay

This list may grow as additional counties announce schedule changes.
