Carey High School football coach John Saili (Coach of the Year) along with senior class leaders Stockton Sears (Most Valuable Player) and Will Parke (Defensive Player of the Year) have been singled out for 1A Sawtooth Conference honors.
The Carey Panthers (11-1) under Saili’s guidance wrapped up their second straight state 1A eight-man football championship with a come-from-behind 40-20 victory over the Tri-Valley Titans on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Middleton High.
Dietrich’s Chase Norman was named Offensive Player of the Year to round out the top honors.
Other Sawtooth first-teamers from conference champ Carey were Jonah Saili (quarterback and linebacker), Will Parke (kicker), Gabe Saili (wide receiver/tight end and defensive end) and Wrangler Marcroft (offensive line).
