A man was seriously injured in a stabbing at a Birmingham night venue.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene in Hampton Street in Newtown at around 5.30am on Monday, December 1.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer and a trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic.

A man with serious injuries was rushed to a hospital.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing at an address on Hampton Street, Birmingham at 5.35am on Monday, December 1.

“On arrival, crews found a man who they treated for serious injuries before conveying him under emergency driving conditions to hospital.”
