POTTERVILLE, Mich. (WILX) -Michigan State University (MSU) cheerleaders visited Potterville Elementary on Thursday to work with the Little Vikings cheer team.

The MSU cheerleaders were joined by Potterville’s varsity cheer team as they taught younger cheerleaders advanced techniques and showed them opportunities to continue cheering throughout their academic careers.

“I think it gives them some kind of a goal to go to, you know, ‘I can do this too,’ and to aspire to, I guess,” said Jennifer Medlock, Little Viking cheer coach. “A lot of the little ones don’t have that opportunity and without having this program in Potterville before, they really didn’t know what was out there for them. I’m excited to see what they bring back from this.”
