ELK RAPIDS — The Elk Rapids Downtown Development Authority (DDA) has received a $5,000 grant from the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation to support a landscaping project for the village’s new gateway signs.

The grant, sourced from the Elk Rapids Area Community Endowment, aims to enhance the beauty of Elk Rapids while supporting pollinators and wildlife. The project is designed to strengthen the sense of place for both residents and visitors, creating a welcoming environment that encourages exploration of the village’s business districts and natural areas.
