HONESDALE, Pa. — Sunday marks 84 years since the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II.
Veterans in Wayne County marked the somber anniversary on Friday. Staff at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale joined veterans for a ceremony that included reciting readings about the attack, a prayer, and the playing of taps.
Organizers then placed a wreath at the original dedication plaque.
