CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Bradley Central High School (BCHS) has provided an update on the bed bugs found earlier this week at their school and an update on the current situation.

Earlier this week, bed bugs were found on a chair in a classroom, according to BCHS.

They say certified pest control professionals treated the area and necessary items were disposed of.

Earlier today, a single bed bug was found on a student’s clothing.

BCHS says they followed protocol that included the following:

Removing the bed bug and disposing of it.

Notifying the students’ parent or guardian.

Contacting Coordinated School Health and the Operations Supervisor to confirm identification and next steps. Confirmation is provided to the school nurse and principal.
