HOLYOKE — Police arrested a 29-year-old man early Wednesday after stopping a stolen car and seized more than $1,100 and a large amount of marijuana, Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan said on social media.
Johansen Silva, of Holyoke, is accused of driving the stolen car and driving with a suspended license, he said.
Around 1:20 a.m., officers got a tip about a stolen car near Cabot Street. Another officer spotted the car on Lyman Street and pulled it over near Walnut and Dwight streets, he said.
Police later identified the driver as Silva. He was arrested, and the car was returned to its owner. Officers also found the drugs and money during the arrest, Keenan said.
