NASH COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Nash County deputies say a man charged with murder threw out nearly three ounces of cocaine during a car chase.
This morning, deputies went to a home on the 3900 block of West Castalia Road to help Rocky Mount police apprehend a man accused of fatally shooting a woman.
As they arrived, they found Qua’Damion Harris-Johnson, identified as a suspect, driving along the block.
A car chase began after Johnson drove away from an attempted traffic stop. After a PIT maneuver, he was taken into custody.
Johnson, 29, and Vincent Brunson, 26, were charged in the Nov. 26 shooting that killed Britnee McKnight and injured Tyquan Garrett.
Deputies say they found 2.8 ounces of cocaine that Johnson tossed out of his window.
They then seized a gun while searching the home,
