A special weather statement was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 10:49 p.m. until Saturday at 7 a.m. for Cambria and Somerset counties.

"Patchy freezing drizzle may result in a very thin glaze of ice over the higher elevations. The most likely places for any icy patches to occur would be on bridges and overpasses. Be sure to use extra caution when driving over the higher hill tops of the Laurel Highlands overnight," comments the weather service.
