Synopsis: Deputy Tahsildar Chandra Shekar, Chandur mandal (Nalgonda), was nabbed by ACB after accepting Rs 20,000 bribe from car dashboard to release land mutation documents of a complainant’s late father. He has been produced before Nampally special court and investigation are underway.
A Deputy Tahsildar from Chandur mandal in Nalgonda district was arrested on Thursday after falling into an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trap for allegedly demanding and accepting a £20,000 bribe to process land mutation documents.
ACB sources said the accused officer, Chandra Shekar, demanded the money from a compla inant in return for releasing previously issued mutation proceedings and related records concerning land inherited from the complainant’s late father.
