Thanksgiving 2025 was a time when many people looked forward to time with family, friends, and the connection of the Thanksgiving meal. For some people with food insecurity this can be a stressful time, as they wonder where their next meal will come from. Others are thinking about those that have passed and will not be at their table or with family or friends this year. Due to intense immigration policies by this administration people may be afraid to go out or are wondering where friends and family could be. There may be people who have lost their jobs or are wondering where this nation is headed.

For me, when faced with the stressors of our country I try to find something that brings me joy. This year I have made a new four-footed friend. I have always been an animal lover. Mostly, dogs
