An 87-year-old woman has died in a horror crash near Linlithgow with three others hospitalised with serious injuries. ‌

The incident happened around 6.55pm on Friday, December 5 on the A706 near Carriber Mill , and involved a red Honda Civic and a silver Volkswagen T-Roc. ‌

Emergency services attended, and an 87-year-old woman, a passenger in the Volkswagen, was pronounced dead at the scene. ‌

A 21-year-old man, the driver of the Honda, the 64-year-old male driver of the Volkswagen and a 63-year-old woman, a passenger in the Volkswagen, were all taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The road was closed for eight hours to allow investigations to take place before being re-opened around 2am on Saturday, December 6. ‌
