Where in Glasgow? A large section of Berkeley Street in the city centre was cordoned off by police. Part of the road outside the Central Gurdwara Singh Sabha was also been sealed off.

What happened? Emergency services were called to a flat around 6.45am on Friday, December 5 , following reports of a disturbance. A 39-year-old man was taken into police custody , became unresponsive, and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Who else was injured? Three others – two women, aged 25 and 40, and a 27-year-old man – were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
