CALDWELL COUNTY — Two people were injured in a crash south of Kidder Friday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred when a Freightliner driven by a 53-year-old Kansas man was stopped in the westbound lane of U.S. 36 at Route J facing south.

A Chevrolet Cobalt driven by a 27-year-old Hamilton man was westbound on 36 when it reportedly struck the front driver’s side of the truck.

Both drivers were transported to Liberty Hospital with serious injuries.
