Kochi, Kerala: Actress Rini Ann George, the first person to speak publicly against expelled Congress MLA Rahul Mamkoottathil, has alleged that two unidentified men issued death threats outside her Paravur home on Friday night. Police have begun examining CCTV footage as part of the investigation.

According to her complaint, the first incident took place around 9.30 pm when a man on a scooter reached her home and tried to break open the house gate. He fled as the family stepped out.

Around 10 pm, a second man arrived on a motorcycle and shouted that she would be killed “if she dare to go against Mamkoottathil” and if anyone touched him. He escaped when the family came outside again.

Rini was the earliest voice to publicly highlight Mamkoottathil’s alleged misconduct.
