FORT COLLINS — Second-seeded Pomona took a 14-7 lead just before halftime against top-seeded Windsor during the Class 3A football state title game Saturday morning at Canvas Stadium on the Colorado State University campus.

The Panthers took the lead on a trick play that saw Luis Santana connect with Tucker Ingersoll on a 48-yard halfback pass and run into the end zone with 1:09 left in the second quarter.

The game’s previous two touchdowns came on Windsor quarterback Mason Moore’s 1-yard touchdown run to give the Wizards a 7-0 lead with 38 second left in the first quarter.

Pomona struck back as Emmitt Munson tied the game at 7 with a 1-yard plunge into the end zone with 6:37 left in the 2nd quarter.
