LORENA – The No. 13 Brownwood Lady Lions completed a 3-1 stay at the Lorena tournament and reached double figures in the win column, rallying from a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat Class 6A Hutto, 43-41, Saturday morning.

The Lady Lions (10-3) trailed 13-7 after one quarter and 29-22 at halftime, but closed the gap to 31-30 heading into the fourth period where Brownwood outscored Hutto 13-10.

Brownwood overcame a 27 percent (14 of 52) shooting effort, including 14 percent (2 of 14) on three-pointers and 48 percent (13 of 27) on free throws, by pulling down 26 rebounds, including 14 on the offensive end, with 11 steals and only nine turnovers.
