ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - Gifts are now being distributed for Allen County’s Toys for Tots program.

For the program, which was suspended locally in 2024 , this brings the final step in its return.

The suspension was the result of ‘no individual or organization stepping up’ to run the program in Allen County, according to a Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots spokesperson.

This year, MidWest America Federal Credit Union and its Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, Andrea Ainsworth, led the efforts.

She says the need for the program’s return was significant.

“[It’s] very busy in here, but... a lot of great feedback, ...a lot of happy families coming in, shopping through the aisles, picking up a lot of toys for their children,” Ainsworth said.
