Thomas Markle has spoken out from his hospital bed in the Philippines for the first time since his life-saving surgery this week to sensationally reject any claims his daughter has tried to contact him. Meghan Markle’s estranged father, who she has not spoken to since 2018, was rushed to hospital this week for surgery, which resulted in a leg amputation.

The 81-year-old has been in hospital ever since, with the surgery described as “life or death”. While Meghan’s dad is now recovering, it is believed he is not out of the woods, and has spoken for the first time since his health scare.

He has also said that he has not heard from Meghan, even though The Duchess of Sussex has said she has contacted her father.
