COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is dead and a Columbus police officer is injured after a crash on the city’s west side Sunday morning.
First responders were called to the intersection of West Broad Street and North Central Avenue around 3 a.m. on a report of a crash.
A Columbus police spokesperson told a 10TV photographer at the scene that a cruiser and a pickup truck collided at the intersection. What led to the crash was not immediately available.
The driver of the truck was taken to a nearby hospital where they were later pronounced dead. The officer was also taken to a hospital, where their condition was described as stable.
