The Eastern Command of the Indian Army has successfully concluded the Vijay Rally 2025, “Ride for Valour”, a motorcycle expedition organised to commemorate Vijay Diwas and India’s historic victory in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, when 93,000 Pakistani troops surrendered on December 16, 1971, the largest military surrender since the Second World War.
Expedition covers 1350 kilometres honouring martyrs
The rally began on 25 November 2025, with participants from all northeastern states joining the main route that commenced from Guwahati on 1 December 2025. Covering more than 1,350 km, the expedition passed through key locations including Dimapur, Tezpur, Shillong, Guwahati, Binnaguri, Sukna, Hilli, Siliguri, Malda, Panagarh, and Nabagram, before culminating at the Vijay Smarak, Vijay
