MUSKEGON, MI — A Muskegon mother is asking the community for help burying her son.
Deborah Wyrick started a GoFundMe page after she said her son, Joshua Fondren Jr., was fatally shot Saturday afternoon in Muskegon’s Jackson Hill neighborhood.
“My son was brutally murdered,” Wyrick wrote on the GoFundMe page. “Josh was only 25. He still had a whole life ahead of him.”
Wyrick wrote that her son left behind a child, her grandson.
“He will never get the chance to see his father again,” Wyrick wrote.
A 22-year-old woman also died from her injuries in the shooting at 633 Jackson St.
Two 25-year-old men were in critical condition Saturday night and a 4-year-old had minor injuries and was expected to be released from the hospital.
