A person was killed in a fire at a multi-unit complex in Middleborough on Sunday, WCVB reported .

Two other individuals were injured and taken to the hospital with “less serious injuries,” the Middleborough Fire Department told the media outlet.

Middleborough fire and police are investigating the cause of the fire.

Middleborough is a South Shore community that sits between Taunton and Plymouth off of Interstate 495.

Boston 25 News posted aerial footage video on Facebook from the fire scene, showing firefighters battling flames and smoke billowing from a roof.
