Reno police arrested three people late Friday after a report of shots fired from a vehicle and a brief pursuit.

About 11:55 p.m., officers responded to the 2600 block of Plumas Street after a caller reported following a vehicle he believed was tied to multiple burglaries. The caller told police someone inside the vehicle fired several shots, prompting them to back off.

An officer later spotted the vehicle near South Virginia and East Liberty streets. When police attempted a traffic stop, the car drove off. Officers brought the vehicle to a stop on Wells Avenue near the Interstate 80 eastbound on-ramp.

A passenger ran from the vehicle and was detained later, police said. Officers recovered two firearms and found three cartridge casings at the original scene.
