Birmingham — Brookelynn Robertson of Dearborn, dressed in elf attire with a pointed hat, candy cane-striped tights and a green dress with red trim, came to Birmingham Winter Markt looking for Santa Claus.
Robertson, 22, made a stop to get marshmallows and watch youths perform hopscotch polka before making her way to a horse carriage ride and, of course, to Santa's House with her friend Dayra Ramos of Auburn Hills.
The 15th annual Birmingham Winter Markt featured displays from over 70 local artists and vendors, German-themed cuisine, holiday lights, ice sculptures, live caroling, complimentary horse carriage rides, a Kinderhaus children’s activity area and warming stations. "Markt" is German for market.
