CINCINNATI, Ohio — For about 54 minutes on Sunday, the Bengals looked like they were about to keep their meager playoff hopes alive as they led the Buffalo Bills by three points late in the fourth quarter.
But Joe Burrow was picked off on back-to-back passes, the first of which was grabbed by Bills linebacker Christian Benford who dashed through the snow for a 66-yard pick-six, and Cincinnati’s playoff hopes may have vanished in a 39-34 loss in Buffalo on Sunday.
It was a game that looked like the 2022 AFC Divisional Playoff matchup in Buffalo because of the snowfall at Highmark Stadium. Until Benford’s pick-six, it was trending in the same direction.
