PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - A fire broke out at a multi-family apartment building in Pittsfield Sunday morning.
This happened in the 600 block of North Street.
According to the Pittsfield Fire Department, emergency crews were called to the scene at 10:15 a.m. Sunday for a report of smoke showing from the building.
When firefighters arrived they could see flames showing on the outside of the four family apartment building.
They began attacking the fire with water and searched the building for any occupants.
We’re told it took firefighters about an hour to put out the flames.
“Fire damage was limited to the exterior of the building and mild smoke damage to the first-floor unit of 664 North (St.),” explained Pittsfield Fire Deputy Chief, Daniel Garner.
