BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Snow showers are entering Maine this Sunday evening. Showers will expand across the state throughout the evening before reaching their peak around midnight. Snow showers will continue in Eastern locations during the early morning hours before exiting Downeast Maine around sunrise Monday morning, with breaks in clouds developing and sunshine returning for many.

We have made a few small tweaks to the snowfall forecast. Less than one inch of snow will fall far to the North and far to the South. Most communities will receive between 1-3 inches of snow. Pockets of 3-5 inches of snow are expected in the Western Mountains, but also for many communities Downeast, in the Upper Penobscot Valley, and just North of the Bangor region.
