LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — An electrical fire on Saturday morning is estimated to have caused $2.7 million in damages in a structure fire, Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office has determined. Authorities still do not know where the fire originated but know it was caused by an unspecified electrical event in an electrical power distribution panel within the structure.
On Saturday, Dec. 6, fire and rescue units from Lucketts, Hamilton, Purcellville, Leesburg, Lovettsville, and Frederick County, Md. Multiple command and safety officers were also dispatched to a reported structure fire in the Catoctin District. When crews arrived, they were met with a metal building engulfed in flames.
