PROVENCAL, La. (KALB) - Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that a Winn Parish man was arrested following a traffic stop in Provencal on December 7.

Provencal Police Department reportedly pulled over 20-year-old Manuel L. Espejel Jr. of Winnfield on Hwy 117 for a driving violation.

When authorities ran a National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System check, it showed that Espejel Jr. was wanted by the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office since February 2024 for Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.

After confirming there was an active warrant for his arrest, PPD arrested Espejel Jr. and NPSO deputies were called in to take him to Natchitoches Detention Center.

Espejel Jr. was charged with one count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.

Pickup arrangements with LPSO are pending.
