OMAHA, Neb. —

Families filled downtown Omaha this weekend as two major holiday events brought festive lights, free activities and community celebrations to the city.

The KETV Family Festival took place Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering free, family-friendly activities at six downtown locations. Those stops included the Omaha Children’s Museum, Durham Museum, Joslyn Museum, downtown Omaha Public Library, the Omaha Police Mounted Patrol Barn and The RiverFront.

To make traveling between sites easier, free trolley rides were offered throughout the day, allowing families to explore multiple locations without driving or parking.
