OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Co-workers of a man killed in a hit-and-run crash last month gathered Sunday night to honor his life at the scene where he died.
Osborn Henderson Jr., 63, was struck and killed Nov. 14 while attempting to cross 84th Street near Blondo. The driver of the pickup truck that hit him fled the scene, and no arrests have been made.
Henderson’s friends from work lit lanterns and shared memories of the man they called “Oz.”
“He was the kindest man that I ever worked with. He never came to work with an attitude or nothing,” said Laron Ross, a coworker. “He never got mad at you… he just walked around with a smile on his face.”
Henderson died at the hospital after being struck. His friends said he was buried in Mississippi, where he grew up.
