Newcastle United have had more than their fair share of injuries, but it's Wednesday night's Champions League opponents Bayer Leverkusen who face an axious wait on one of their key players this week.
The German side fell to a 2-0 defeat to Augsburg in Saturday's Bundesliga clash, a result which leaves them in fourth spot in the table, 14 points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
Two first-half goals condemned Leverkusen to defeat, and made it two league defeats on the bounce for Kasper Hjulmand's side following a 2-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund.
Leverkusen picked up a huge victory over Manchester City in their last Champions League outing, winning 2-0 at the Etihad thanks to goals from Alex Grimaldo and Patrick Schic
