A woman has died following a two-car crash near Stourbridge, which left a man seriously injured.

Emergency services were called to the junction of Heath End Road and Farley Lane in Belbroughton at 4.43pm on Sunday, December 7.

Medics arrived to find the woman, a passenger in one of the cars, in a critical condition.

Despite their best efforts, 'nothing could be done to save her' and she was confirmed dead at the scene.

The man, who was the driver of the vehicle, was rushed to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the other car - a woman - was assessed by medics but discharged at the scene.
