A man accused of shooting another man in a drug deal gone wrong has been cleared of attempted murder but found guilty of a firearm offence.
Tyrone Solomon was alleged to have fired a gun at Ibrar Hussain who was sat in a Volkswagen Golf on Hamstead Road, Handsworth , on February 1 last year.
A trial at Birmingham Crown Court heard the bullet hit the victim in the abdomen and caused multiple perforations to his bowel which required life-saving surgery.

Solomon was arrested three days later in the back garden of his address on Hamstead Road.
A jury was told he tried to slip out of a ground floor window.
A loaded handgun was recovered from brambles nearby.
