ANN ARBOR, MI -- A woman was fatally shot Sunday afternoon in an Ann Arbor apartment.

Police were called around 1:20 p.m., Dec. 7 to an apartment on Pear Street for a report of a shooting, Ann Arbor police said on social media. A woman, whose age was not specified, had been fatally struck by gunfire.

A firearm believed to be connected to the incident was recovered. Police believe this was an isolated incident.

This is the second fatal shooting in Ann Arbor this year. Lamar Thomas, an 18-year-old Westland man, was fatally shot Sept. 26 near the intersection of Packard Street and Platt Road. Three have been charged in connection with his death.
