Sault Ste. Marie Police Service has arrested a 32-year-old man accused of stealing a bag and wallet from a vehicle last month, then using the victim’s bank card to make multiple unauthorized purchases.
According to police, officers were called on Nov. 5 after a report of a theft from a vehicle in the 600 block of Queen Street East. Investigators say that shortly after the theft, the victim’s bank card was used six times at businesses in the 200 block of Bay Street.

Police say their investigation identified William Wynne, 32, as the suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
