Authorities in Maharashtra’s Beed district have intensified patrols and launched targeted operations following a spate of robberies and bag-snatching incidents along the Solapur–Dhule highway, particularly on the stretch between Pachod and Yedshi. The incidents involve groups of robbers stopping passenger vehicles, threatening commuters, and stealing luggage, prompting police to issue safety advisories to travellers.

A video of one such robbery has gone viral on social media, with users claiming it was recorded last month on National Highway 52 near Beed.

The footage, reportedly captured by a camera mounted on a bus, shows five to six bike-borne men riding behind the vehicle.

One of them climbs onto the shoulder of another and manages to board the rear of the moving bus.
